what's past is never forgotten

Summer has arrived, it is time to work..

Quote:
So keep your duty to Allah and fear Him as much as you can; listen and obey, and spend in charity; that is better for yourselves. And whosoever is saved from his own greed, then they are the successfull ones." (Surah 64,Verse 16)

An excerpt from the past, not very long ago though..

The story..

The counterparts..

The journey..

The place..

The faces..

The things we did..

The memories..

The sweet memories..hmm..
Missing the faces, truly..

Wah dah nak dekat setahun tinggalkan page ni..nasib baik tak berhantu..

Alhamdulillah another fishing trip for this year. Well this year it was our turn to return the favor, menyentuh hati-hati mereka sebagaimana hati-hati kami disentuh dulu..

Quote:
Allahumma innaka ta3lam annahaadhihil qulub..

So apa cerita nih?

Date: 30 April 2005
Venue: Annamoe Trout Fisheries & Picnic Sites, Glendalough
Type of Fish: Rainbow Trout
Menu: BBQ chicken legs, BBQ trouts, air asam, nasi goreng cina, fruits, cakes, drinks

We departed from Dublin in 4 cars; led by our RED Ford Fiesta, followed by Al-Fateh, K.Mai's Peugeot & a BLACK Chevrolet which came all the way from Galway.

"Aisya baca doa sebelum bertolak!" ehem dah pandai kasi perintah aku ni..koff koff batuk..

The sky was murky dark, not promising, but our hopes remained high. Nonetheless, the road was silky smooth, so we knew it would be a good day for us inshaAllah

It took us an hour to go there (maaflah, saya pembaca peta jalan yg amatur) and the Chevrolet missed the last exit to Glendalough whence we simultaneously lost the phone signals. In times like that, there's no use crying over being a Meteor-user..duh..

The ones who made it to the fishing site quickly settled down, grab few rods and started fishing. The joy heightened when the first fish was caught, and dampened in times when it seemed like the fishes knew the tricks already and cheated on the baits . We had a great time, overall we caught 25 trouts, one for each person, plus 2 extras given as present. Seronok depa tgk kita menjerit-jerit masa dapat ikan tu kot..

Me and Yanie went to start grilling the marinated chickens even before they finished fishing, so we missed some fun moments. NVM, sedar2 la dah tua kan..uhuk uhuk..The whole troop came to the picnic site just right after we finished grilling, and it was about time to EAT! yaay.

But wait! Makanan pulak tertinggal kat dalam kereta K.Mai yg di park dekat fishing site!! Ni kes nak jimat duit parking la ni..

It wasn't a long wait for the food to come anyway, in the meantime I personally had a great time knowing these girls. Ye lah being in the clinical years never have I any chance to meet these adik2 yg sgtla best dan semangat2 semuanya! Ni bukan bodek tau!!

Alhamdulillah, we managed to eat properly, prayed Zuhr and Asar under the tree and the girls went to the lake to take some pictures. I've passed that moments already, that was my third visit to the place so I just leave them seized their moments Adeh kenapala terasa tua sgt ni...

Makan sudah, gambar pun sudah, it was time to leave. As if it was already being planned, thin rain started falling on our heads when we were packing up our stuff. Alhamdulillah hujan turun selepas semuanya selesai..

So we left for home, after refueling our soul with the bond of ukhuwwah amongst us, and certainly after re-filling our tummies with the most yummi-est fish ever!!

All praise only for One Lord, Allah SWT

alhamdulillah moga allah mempertautkan hati-hati kita semua jazakillahukhayr kpd semua sisters yg kukasihi atas kerja keras..n yes..All praise only for ALLAH..

Once I caught a fish alive

End of Pre-Clinical Years

This was taken right after we finished our Pathology paper (which was really hard for me, I cried right after I went out from the exam hall). This was attributed to our beloved Penang Medical College friends, made possible by Sasha, Hazim and Raj, current class reps. Not all were there, but the ones who turned up were good enough. For the PMC students, this lecture theatre we took pictures in was the one we first stepped foot in on our very first day of university life. For the ones who's still in Dublin, keep on breathing, we'll make it to the day of graduation inshaAllah...

End The Occupation Conference (ETOC) 2005

Giving out flyers on St. Patrick's Day
While people are busy celebrating..
Starting the peaceful Anti-War Marching with Zuhr prayer

Theme: When Injustice Is Law, Resistance Is Duty

The ETOC was organized by FOSIS (Federation of Student Islamic Societies) UK & Ireland and also Islamic Human Rights Comission (IHRC) on the 21-22 March 2005, preceded by a peaceful Anti-War March on the 18th, it was a truely eye-opener for a lot of people. The speakers were great, the speeches were mind-blowing, we had a full-house.

As for myself, I was a late-involver in this conference, my efforts put on to make this conference possible were incomparable to what fellow friends; Haseeb, Fahad, Dolly etc did. May Allah bless them with the highest rewards for what they've done.

Out of that:

1. Let's educate ourselves with the current issues of the world, let's sometimes think about the ummah rather than obsessing on our very own self and the world's materials.

2. Boycott Israeli Product Campaign!!

Just how far do u think this might work? Well if I tell u this is the BEST of thing u could do to aid our oppressed brothers and sisters in Palestine, Iraq, Afghan would u believe me? History tells us that boycotting has been a powerful tool of bringing the oppressors down, the best example would be the apartheid in Africa. Why make ourself a disaster of restriction from buying those 'great' Israeli's goods? Well think again, every little cent u spend would be used on buying bullets and armors that ended up destroying the Palestanians house, exploding their bodies to bits, killing the innocents. This is not only about religion, it's about justice now. And those two intertwined perfectly in what Islam teaches us, so if u say that you're a really good Muslim, have u no thrills of sadness and regrets in your heart when u chew those BigMacs or gulp down Coca-colas when u know in every burp u had, few innocents people are oppressed and killed in other part of the world?

For a full boycott list, log on to www.inminds.co.uk

So why is it, that you do not fight in the way of Allah, and for the abased among men, women, and children who say: 'Our Lord, bring us out from this village whose people are harmdoers, and give to us a guardian from You, and give to us a helper from You.'

Surah 4, Ayah 75
